Nothing makes a relationship strong quite like honesty, but will you like the answers? If not, who is to blame? If anyone is? Another one of life's dilemmas analysed in this new poem of mine; enjoy.

There's something I need to know,

and I want you to be straight with me.

Would you give me the time,

if I gave you all the signs?

Would you give me a chance,

if I stole away your glance?

Would you see me differently as before?

if I showed you I was something more?

Would you?

Would you laugh at my jokes,

if I were broke?

Would you forgive my faults,

if I made you exult?

Would you recognise my strengths,

if I professed my sins at length?

Would you?

Would you hold me near,

if I swore to erase your fears?

Would you give me a kiss,

if I promised you eternal bliss?

Would you accept my love,

if I were someone you could be proud of?
