Halloween Time (Poem)
Happy Halloween, boils and ghouls! It's that time again, the one day of the year where the portal to the Otherworld opens into ours, and everything becomes a little bit more scary, not to mention the parties, games, and trick or treating that's to be had.
To celebrate this chilling day, I've provided you all with a free poem, how's that for a treat?. Enjoy!
HALLOWEEN TIME
When the human world begins their nightly slumber,
Another world awakes with a mighty thunder.
The world of the damned, for what the humans name,
Spring forth for their unearthly fame.
The Werewolves howl at the midnight moon,
Setting the evening in motion with their frightful tune.
The Zombies rise from out of their graves,
Partaking in the feast of human brains.
The Vampires emerge from out the shadows,
Stalking the night, the blood they browse.
The Witches bubble and boil their concoctions,
Laughing and shrieking at their vile productions.
Goblins, ghouls and ghosts too,
Dancing and singing to the song called “Boo!”
Mummies, demons and skeletons galore,
Roam the land with their hideous roars!
The dread festivities that last all night,
Are greeted by the creatures with twisted delight.
Halloween Day is the time they play,
Their games and tricks are the rituals they obey.
Only this night is the unholy party laid,
By dawn their evidence will sure to fade.
But the bumps and creeps will forever lurk,
Their presence is felt, impossible to shirk.
Until next year then, when the portals are open,
The dead will work extra hard to make you gloppen.
This wish comes not with love but with a scream;
“May your nights be unrest on All Hallows Eve!”
