WAITING FOR YOU

I don't know who you are,

or what you're like,

and I don't know how far

Cupid's arrow can strike.

I don't know your name,

and I don't know your face.

I don't know your fame,

and I don't know your race.

I do know you'll make me happy,

I do know you won't judge.

I do know you won't think I'm sloppy,

when I pour my heart for you to trudge.

I do know we'll kiss,

I do know we'll hold hands.

I do know we'll miss each other,

and call with friendly demands.

But those dreams seem so few,

those dreams are a mile away.

Those dreams tell me what to do,

those dreams make me want to stay.

But those dreams fill me with despair,

those dreams just aren't true.

Those dreams I wouldn't even dare,

those dreams won't have me waiting for you.
